Ubuntu Update Vim

I’m a fan of tabula rasa, and a fan of automation. Here’s setting up OSX fromscratch in the form of a small shell script

First, install xcode from the app store. This doesn’t seem to be automatableThen, get the command line tools

Install homebrew

Install some packages from homebrew

Install some apps from brew cask

Install python packages with pip

Get git config and start adding repositories

Link dotfiles to the appropriatelocations

Tell vim to install packages from vundle

Brew Mac Vim

Set up shell with antigen

Not everything is automatable (yet)

Google Drive

Brew Update Vim

I like google drive. It is the most competitively-priced dropbox-style servicearound. I don’t like how it names its directory ~/Google Drive, since it is apain to type on the command line. To fix this, after setting up google drive andsyncing, close the app and run mv ~/Google Drive ~/gdrive. Reboot the app andclick the error, selecting ‘Locate folder’.
