One of the issues is the lack of “force sync” within the options, but I found the “force sync” button (called “Request Start”) within sync-internals.

Both offer a way to sync your data between devices, as do other browsers, like Google Chrome and Brave. I use Vivaldi Sync and Firefox Sync to make sure I have my bookmarks, browsing history, open. While we only offer bookmark sync presently, we plan to allow more browsing data to sync across devices - including passwords/login information, browsing history, autofill data, etc. You may also feel at ease knowing more about how Brave Sync actually works- namely the fact that it uses Client-side encryption to protect your data. Click address bar, share icon, 'Send to your devices'. This results in a push notification on computer. Click the notification to get the tab. I just installed Brave on both my laptop and Android phone and enabled sync, the options to Send to device didn't show up until I enabled sync tabs on both devices. Open Brave and click on the three line square at the right to access Sync or type in brave://sync in the address bar. Next, click on Start a new Sync Chain. This is to be selected when you are setting up sync for the first time. Choose the device which needs to be a part of the sync chain.
