About Sanki, a source told pinkvilla, 'Sajid and Varun had teamed up for Judwaa 2 which also turned out to be Varun's highest grossing solo film ever. Now, after three years, they have decided to reunite one more time. It's a masala action film in the space that Varun already specialises in. Varun's Coolie No 1. was scheduled to release on May 1 but got delayed due to COVID-19 crisis. The film also features Sara Ali Khan and Paresh Rawal in key roles. The makers have recreated one of the iconic tracks from Coolie No 1 for the remake, which is Mein Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha. It is composed by Tanishk Bagchi. Talking about the track, director David Dhawan said, “It is an important song for our film, and it has heart. But times have changed so I am going to picturise it very differently with Varun and Sara.' Recalling about the original track, David said. “We found a place in Bangalore with lot of Bhel Puri stalls and had the lead pair (Govinda and Karisma) strolling through it, exploring ‘Mumbai’. So Varun Dhawan has created a Twitter account for his twin. Creepy right? Of course, he doesn't have a twin brother. No points for guessing why he did that. Judwaa 2will see two of him and this is how he is promoting it. We have to agree this is a masterstroke. It's an amazing ploy to involve social media where Varun is pretty active, in the making of the film even before a single scene is shot. And this twin brother will be as hilarious as Salman Khan from the first film. He already addresses his suave twin as Chirkut!

Raja was one of the characters that Salman Khan played in the original. So it is a given that one of Varun's character will be called so and if we go through his feed, he will retain the tapori style that Salman's Raja flaunted in the first film. Judwaa released way back in the 90s when double roles were in vogue. It was fun to watch two different Salman Khans in one film. One of them was the Tapori Raja and another was the suave and well-groomed Prem, brothers separated at birth. A very cliched plot a la Manmohan Desai style but interesting nonetheless.
